Okay, we look around us and see a lot of bad in the world but are you completely 100% good?
Jesus tells us: "...no-one is good but One, that is God." (Jesus is God in a human body - God's Son)
If God got rid of ALL of the bad in the world who would be left? Not me!
Do our parents punish us for everything wrong we do?
No, and the more they forgive us, the more we love and appreciate them.
The Bible tells us: "It's the goodness of God that leads you to repentance."
One day soon God will deal with all the world's badness - in His own time. Meanwhile we realize that Jesus has paid the penalty and God has forgiven us, so we appreciate how good God is.

I even had to check the dictionary for the meaning of 'portal'!
Yes,...Jesus IS the portal between heaven and Earth. In fact He even said: "I am the door...if anyone enters by Me, he will be saved....I am the Good Shepherd" ...and used the illustration of a shepherd camping in the doorway of a sheepfold to protect his sheep.
Later on He said: "No-one comes to the Father except through Me."... just before He was arrested.

The Book of Daniel in the Bible doesn't tell us much about Daniel himself but it covers the 70 years of captivity in Babylon from 606 BC to 536 BC (just as God predicted) so if young Daniel the Jewish prince was about 20 when he was taken captive, he was about 90 when he died in about 535 BC. (2550 years ago)
The point is...even though the Jews were held captive, God was always in control and He had His man in the halls of government in Babylon all that time!

So what's the moral of the story?
Man might think he is boss but the one true God is really the Boss - we must obey Him and we can trust Him, no matter what!
Much of what God's angel told Daniel to write about has already happened years ago but some of it....is yet to happen! He even wrote about an explosion of knowledge (science? internet?) and people rushing around (modern travel?) in the last days.
How about that!
