A ROMAN CENTURION BEGGING A JEW ??

So you want to know something about Jesus and the Roman soldiers.

Okay, the Roman Empire controlled Judaea and its soldiers were brutal but that is the way Rome maintained peace. Of course the Jews had been warned by God through people like Daniel that this would happen. How about that!

Jesus was born a Jew but a centurion (over 100 soldiers) came and told Him that his servant was paralyzed. Even though Jesus offered to come and heal the man, he said: "Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. Just speak a word and my servant will be healed. I also am a man under authority..."

What the....?!! Just a word?? This is a Roman centurion saying his house is not good enough for this young Jewish carpenter come teacher that he calls 'Lord'?!!

Jesus was surprised and said: "For sure, I have never seen such great faith - not even in Israel!"

Do you think the centurion realised who Jesus really was and knew for sure that He could heal instantly?

Of course! Nothing is impossible with God - otherwise how could He raise people from the dead?"  What an interesting question though!
Here are 2 things that really happened...

Some men asked Elisha the prophet to help them build a new village but one of them lost an axe-head in the river. Elisha threw in a stick that made the axe-head float so the man could rescue it. That was one lively stick, hey!

...and here's another one:

Could you do this with 2 sticks?.....God told the prophet Ezekiel to write on 2 sticks then hold them together. They joined together in Ezekiel's hand to show that one day God will bring all Israel back together again!
After ~2,600 years it hasn't happened yet - so watch carefully girls.
