WHY SUFFERING & DEATH?

Hi C.......,
You asked: "Why does God make silly decisions?", then you explained that you meant the suffering and death we experience.
Yes my dear, suffering and death sucks!....and I'm very sorry you lost your uncle recently.

Let's just take a step back and have a look at the big picture...
God created a fantastic universe with a wonderful place on Earth for us to live - it was "VERY GOOD!"
God 'handed over the keys', with only 1 rule: "Don't eat from that tree: if you do, you die."
Very soon that rule was broken and the first child murdered his brother, yet God put up with Man's wickedness for 1,536 years before telling Noah to build the ark, which possibly took 120 years to build, giving people plenty of opportunity to repent before the Great Flood.
Finally God had to come here Himself as Jesus the Son of God, who healed everybody who came to Him but had to suffer and die horribly to bear the penalty for our sins.
God loves us people so much that He joined with us in our suffering and death - to give us salvation and hope!...and yet we turn around and blame Him, or say He doesn't even exist!

Q. "Did God make us in our mum's tummy or did our parents make us?"
Yes - all of the above!
Our parents made us....with God's help, that's why we are all unique miracles :)

G'day Brad,
Q1 "Why did God want to create people? Why didn't He create something else?"
Didn't He? What about birds, insects, mammals, fish, marsupials, reptiles, amphibians, plants, trees, fruit, moss & lichen, fungi, bacteria.....all in 10's of thousands of varieties!

Q2 "I heard every animal does something good. What do sheep do?"
Sheep grow wool for us to make clothes, blankets, carpet and felt from. We eat lamb & mutton meat and use intestines for sausage casings. Sheep skins are used to make leather, suede, chamois, ugh boots, seat covers. Sheep produce milk from which we make cheese. Other products from sheep are: lanolin, glue, soap, fertilizer, cosmetics, and even catgut for tennis racquets. On our farm we also used sheep to protect us from bushfires by forcing them to eat all the grass around the sheds, back to bare dirt. Abel was the first to die and He sacrificed sheep for God, illustrating the death of Jesus, the 'Lamb of God'.

Q3 "Was God responsible for the meteor that took out the dinosaurs?"
Are you absolutely sure that that is what happened, Brad?
It might be part of the reason but dinosaurs with their small nostrils may have lacked oxygen in a different atmosphere after the Great Flood, then big game hunters took out a lot, just like they kill rhinos and elephants today.
