Hi Bree,
Q1 "You said Jesus wasn't born (yet), so how were people created?"Yes, Nebuchadnezzar did attack Jerusalem in 606 BC, ~600 years before Jesus was born.
Some time (months?) after Jesus had been born, the magi arrived to worship Him as the King of the Jews, ...but wherever is this little Boy?
This had been written in the Bible about 700 years before:
"But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are little among the thousands of Israel, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the one to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from old, from everlasting."
Whatever is this saying?
The little town of Bethlehem is where the new Ruler of Israel will come from and He is from past eternity - He has been around....FOREVER! (That's why king Herod sent soldiers to kill all the children under 2 years old in the district of Bethlehem.)
Q2. "How can a stone make a big mountain?"
It can't. It only does in King Nebuchadnezzar's dream to show us what will happen when Jesus Christ comes back to establish His kingdom on Earth...soon!
Hi Caitlin,
Q. "Why did God create us when He could have just made aliens and planets or just not made anything?"Okay, planets?...sure God has made plenty of them....but aliens? Aliens are called that because they don't belong - they're foreign, so why would God make something that doesn't belong?
Yes, God could have not made anything but remember, we are created 'in God's image', so if we are both creative and enjoy company, guess what!....so does He!
Not only does God want to enjoy the company of His creatures, God loves you and me - so much - that He was willing to pay the heavy price to save us.
What does it cost us?
Nothing.
