G'day H........,
Q. "How did Noah know Jesus?"
Wow...what a great question!
How ever did Noah know about Someone who lived here 2000 years later? Noah's grandfather was Methuselah who knew Adam for 243 years and would have known from him that God had promised a Saviour as soon as people disobeyed Him.
Now then.....this is hard for us to get our heads around but Jesus said: "Before Abraham was, I AM."
Jesus is God who had told Noah to build an ark!
The interesting thing is that the ark had only 1 door and Jesus said: "I am the door."
We know He opened and closed the door for Noah!
Also the Hebrew word for 'pitch' (the ark's waterproofing) is kaphar which is the same word for 'atonement' - the covering of our guilt by the shedding of the blood of Jesus on the cross. When we put our trust in Jesus it is just like Noah and his family going into the ark to be saved from the judgment of the flood.Maybe they could even read the 'Message in the Stars'.
Hi H.......,
Q. "Why did He flood the world if He loves us?"
If we add up the years for the 10 long generations between Adam and Noah we find that God put up with Man's wickedness for 1656 years before He flooded the Earth. What's more, we know that God gave advance warning of 120 years so people had plenty of time to repent. How many people outside of Noah's family listened to him ? NO-ONE!"Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without a witness."
During those 1656 years, Adam was alive for 930 years to remind people of their Creator God and 57 years after Adam died, Enoch was taken away by God after 'walking with God' for 300 years.
We also know that fallen angels had corrupted the genetic purity of mankind - but not Noah's family. There's more to it though...
What happened in the Great Flood is meant to be a warning to us today and that is why we showed you Mr. Deed's models and why full-size Noah's Arks are being built overseas for people to visit. As the Bible says about the Flood:
"The Lord ....is longsuffering towards you, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
Meanwhile this world likes to believe science has proved that not only was there no global flood but there is no God.
Hi C......,
Q. "How come some animals are still extinct if Noah took every animal on Earth with him?"
There is no doubt that there was once an Ice Age and this is the result we would expect after a global flood with all the volcanic eruptions that we know occurred.
Possibly long-necked dinosaurs struggled with less oxygen to breathe in the new atmosphere, and certainly there would have been less vegetation for animals to survive on in very cold conditions. What's more, big-game hunters were regarded as heroes so obviously many animals were killed by people, just like today.
I understand there are only about 2000 koalas left in NSW and most of them are on the Mid North Coast.
WE BELIEVE PARTS OF THE BIBLE BY STEVE FINNELL
ReplyDeleteSome believers in Christ believe the entire Bible is the accurate translation of the word of God, other do not.
Most denominations believe either by declaration or practice the Mormon position of the Bible. Mormon quote: "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly....."
Mormons, Catholics, and Pentecostals believe that God is sill giving new revelation to men today. Other denominations believe the Bible is God's completed revelation, except where it has been mistranslated or is in contrast with their creed books, Bible commentaries or statements of faith.
If what your denomination teaches is contrary to Scripture, do you think it might be wise to side with God's view?
