G'day Brad,
Q. "Why didn't God get rid of the bad people when He had the chance?"He did Brad but that didn't fix the problem.
How many people were saved in Noah's ark?...ONLY 8!

Hang on a minute...Who gets to decide who the bad people are, anyway? Are you always good?
Jesus told us: "No one is good but One, that is, God." The Bible also says: "There is no-one who does good, no not one." In God's eyes we are all sinners who deserve to die but in His mercy He has thrown us a life-ring: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes on Him should not perish but have eternal life." God is "not willing that any should perish..."
Get the idea? God is love....but we must not mess with Him.
Hi T..........
Lots of great questions hey?
Q1. "How do you know the Bible is the truth?"
The Bible has accurately predicted the future hundreds of times, it is backed up by true Science, and archaeology keeps proving it too. The ultimate test is history because no one can change it.
He is the chief angel who watches over the nation of Israel.
Q3. "How do people really know that Adam and Eve were here?"
The Bible gives eye-witness account from people who lived then, as well as their family tree with lifespans. Even geneticists today use those names: 'Y chromosome Adam' and 'mitochondrial Eve'.
Q4. "What is God's religion?"
"Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to help orphans and widows and to keep yourself unspotted from the world." Surprising, hey!?,
Q5. "Do people still see God and Jesus?"
No one has actually seen God because He is a spirit ....but Jesus - He is a real Man who could be seen and touched and who will soon be seen again by everyone when He comes back!G'day Colin,
Q. "How did God create Himself?"
One of God's many names is 'I AM'.
What a weird name, hey! Imagine that on someone's gravestone.
When God spoke to Moses from the burning bush He called Himself: "Ehyeh - Asher - Ehyah" which means "I WAS / I AM / I WILL BE". In other words, God has always been and always will be.
Do I understand that?.....not really.
Can I explain it?......not a chance.
Does that mean it's not true?...of course not - there are lots of things in this life about this wonderful universe that we cannot fully understand but are mostly definitely true e.g. the miraculous birth of absolutely unique Colin! Even Earth's gravity and magnetic field, that we rely on 24/7, is a mystery that got young Albert Einstein thinking.
Hi Holly & Rosie,
Q. "Why did you become a Scripture teacher?"
As soon as I confessed to God that I was a coward (or a 'chicken') for being ashamed of my Bible, somehow Mrs. McKinnon knew she should ask me to teach at Beechwood. How could I then say no?
By the way, even though the pay is lousy (in fact nothing!) it is the best job in the world. I hope to see all of you in heaven because you will have put your trust in our Lord Jesus Christ forever, after listening to your Scripture teacher.
Hi Caitlin,
Oooo!...some hard ones hey?Q1. "Do you believe God made us so He and His Son could see us suffer in different ways?"
No dear, I do not believe that. I think you will find that most of our suffering we have brought on ourselves: smoking, eating habits, accidents from carelessness, drugs, human relationships, violence, contaminated food and water...
Parents do not bring children into the world to just watch them suffer but they have to discipline their children to mould them into adults that will benefit their community. So God allows suffering in our lives to get our attention and to form our character because He loves us.
Australia is a classic example of how the more we enjoy good times, the more we forget about God so that we are now no longer really a Christian country.
I used to think that God just made Adam and Eve then left mums and dads to create babies but the more I discover about how miraculous ALL reproduction is, the more I realize how true the Bible is by saying: "In Him we live and move and exist." In fact the Bible even describes in Job chapter 10 how God forms a baby. So I guess it's all 3: Mum, God and....Dad!
G'day Lachie & Joey,
Q. "What do demons do to you?"Real bad stuff. Especially to your minds.
The word 'demon' comes from the Ancient Greek word daimonion which is a 'supernatural spirit of bad nature' or devil.
When Jesus was here He had the power to cast demons out of people. We have to do with a God with power over demons, just like the Bible tells us: "You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe - and tremble."
The fear of God is rare today while the work of demons is common. Beware boys!
G'day Matt,
Q. "How did God create the world?"The Bible tells us: "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible."
That is saying that God supernaturally created everything in the universe from nothing, by speaking it into existence.
By the way, you will find that Science is forced to agree with that - the universe had a beginning that must have been supernatural.
Wow!...and here's a quirky thought:
You and I were both there at the beginning - as dust!
Hi Rosie,
Q. "Then why didn't He just get rid of the animals that just came into the world?"Okay, after you explained your question more I think I understand what you mean - at least I hope so!
When God created everything in the beginning nothing was carniverous - people and animals had 'every green herb for food' i.e. they were herbivorous.
Adam disobeyed God then everything started to go wrong - the firstborn son Cain even murdered his brother Abel - until finally God had to say: "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping things and birds of the air, for I am sorry I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord."
If you watch today's news things haven't really changed. The world is swamped with violence but God's grace (undeserved favour) thru Jesus gives us hope.
